Riqualificare uno spazio urbano, rendendolo un’icona della città e valorizzando il legame con il mare. Il progetto trasforma un vasto parcheggio e uno svincolo in un luogo di qualità urbana e ambientale. La piazza ha due caratteri: quello lineare e urbano che confluisce nella parte che si affaccia sul mare, un playground da vivere e interpretare. Aiuole rettangolari scandiscono lo spazio, disegnando aree di sosta e di gioco fino a formare un boulevard alberato. Il naturale dislivello tra piazza e bagnasciuga insieme al sistema di cerchi delle aiuole, di terrazze inclinate e ombrelloni restituisce un’immagine suggestiva del fronte mare.
Regenerating a urban space, turning it into a city icon and enhancing its connection with the sea. The project transforms a large parking lot and a route into a place of urban and environmental quality. The square has two attitudes: the linear and urban one that converges into the one facing the seaside, a playground to experience and interpret. Rectangular flowerbeds punctuate the space, delineating relax and play areas and finally forming a tree-lined boulevard. The natural difference in height between the square and the shoreline, along with the system of circular flowerbeds, inclined terraces and umbrellas creates a captivating image of the waterfront.
